I would, right? Musician… artsy… hippie type of person. Would YOU put it past me? I just watched a commercial on NBC that hit home with me. Kind of. It wasn’t like a WOAH thing but it certainly increased my awareness factor.
Are you a coffee drinker? Did you know that the thing that makes a paper/cardboard coffee cup waterproof is the same thing that makes them unable to be recycled? Think about how many cups turn into unusable trash everyday! We can help solve this problem and in some places even get discounted coffee by bringing along our own coffee mug/thermos to our favorite coffee shops. I know this all probably sounds a little “peace, love and understanding-ish,” but I truly believe that we are responsible for the what we know… or what we are aware of. God has given us a beautiful earth to live on (some would beg to differ I’m sure), so why not be great stewards of this gift we’ve been given.
So what will you do with this knowledge?
The times are-a-changing folks! One thing I never want to have come out of my mouth is “man I miss the way we use to do it.” I want my life to be a consistently open vessel to be used to reach the next generation of Christ-followers. And that means constantly evolving and changing the methods we use to spread the everlasting message of Jesus Christ and what he did for us.
That being said, we are embarking on a brand new adventure as far as worship experiences are concerned. We (the church) are worshipping God online. We’re still learning how to do it “right” and as effective as possible. But let’s be honest folks… people spend time online… a LOT of time. To deny them the opportunity to meet Jesus in a place that has this many people already wandering around would just be foolish. And Lord knows that the world-wide-web could use a little “light” in its increasingly dark landscape.
So here’s the address:
We usually have a steady flow of material playing 24/7 aside from our meeting times which are 8pm on Tuesday evenings. It’s also a place where myself and New Wine will be introducing some new material as well as a place for some our up-and-coming worship leaders to get their feet wet.
I decided to try and follow suit as Los showed his olympic enthusiasm by tuning in on his television AND live streaming from the internet. I logged on to nbc.com to begin the live streaming madness, and nearly cussed when this message popped up:

If you’ve seen it, then by now I don’t have to tell you how absolutely breathtaking the opening ceremony for the 2008 summer Olympics was.
So here’s the verdict… I have decided to KEEP the black beauty (truck) and get myself a Yamaha Zuma!!! I was down in Springfield this weekend with the boys fir Kev’s wedding, and we came across a KILLER deal.
I’m trying to make a big decision right now. With rising gas prices and changes in the economy taking place, I’m trying to decide whether or not I should sell this…
